BackerKit Launched!
over 4 years ago – Thu, Dec 26, 2019 at 06:47:00 PM

The test of the BackerKit launch is done, and we've now sent surveys to everyone! It should arrive in your inbox -- obviously, please check your spam folder if it appears to be missing. We hope that everyone is having a great holiday!

BackerKit process started
over 4 years ago – Sun, Dec 22, 2019 at 02:13:17 AM

We have just launched what BackerKit calls a "smoke test," which sends surveys to about 5% of the backers. So you might or might not be receiving your survey -- this is a troubleshooting test so that if we messed up somehow we can fix it early.

If you get one of the surveys, please let us know if you spot anything about it that looks weird! We'll do the full launch of the surveys in a couple of days -- however long BackerKit recommends to hear about any glitches.

Thanks, and if you don't receive the survey then you should be receiving it within a couple of days!

BackerKit Process
over 4 years ago – Thu, Dec 19, 2019 at 08:40:42 PM

We have submitted the BackerKit survey for BackerKit's review, which according to them will be completed in 2 days. After that, we do what's called a "smoke test" in which 5% of the backers will receive surveys -- this is done so that if there's an error in the form, it can be fixed before 95% of the backers ever sees it. After that point, everyone will get their BackerKit surveys and we'll be into the process.

There is one BackerKit thing that we're also trying to fix, although it won't affect the all-in backers who make up the vast majority of the Kickstarter. However, if you want to change your pledge level upward, the only way to do it is to click on a small-font "Change your pledge level" that many people might not notice. So if you're upgrading your pledge from "Choose One Core Set" to "All-In" you have to do that BEFORE you hit the great big green "Get Started" button. Which is dumb, but it appears to be a default we can't change.

Thanks so much, again, and we'll keep everyone posted when the error-checking "Smoke Test" begins for 5% of the Backers!

A Quick Status Report
over 4 years ago – Thu, Dec 05, 2019 at 06:07:55 PM

Hi everyone! This update is probably only of interest to those who are tracking progress closely, but we want to keep everyone up to date on where we are in the process of getting the files into your hands. Iain is in the process of uploading the completed files to me, at which point I will re-organize them into the correct groups and upload those to BackerKit. I'm also making sure that all the graphics are put into a file for Zach to create the BackerKit. For the stretch goals that didn't get into the Kickstarter, everything that was past a certain point in production will be put into the BackerKit as an add-on. As soon as Iain is done with the overall uploading, he will start finishing stretch goal pieces (print testing, etc).

I don't have a good estimate yet on when the BackerKit will be ready, but we'll keep you updated as we get the basic uploading finished, since that's obviously the most important part.

Thanks for your support!

This is just a quick announcement that we are in the process of setting up BackerKit, which will be a link sent to all backers for you to tell us what you want to receive, purchase add-ons, etc. We will have more news as soon as we have completed the setup process. Stay tuned!
